Salt Water Taffy

Ingredients

2 lbs sugar

1 ½ teaspoon cornstarch

1 ½ lbs Corn Syrup

¾ lbs Nulomoline

2 oz fat

1 ¼ cup of water

1 ½ teaspoon salt

 

Directions

Mix 2 lbs sugar with 1 ½ teaspoon cornstarch

Add 1 ½ lbs Corn Syrup, ¾ lbs Nulomoline, 2 oz fat, 1 ¼ cup of water.

In a pot, cook to 256-258 degrees, add 1 ½ teaspoon salt.

Pour onto oiled slab.

When cool enough to handle, pull until good and white (10 or 15 minutes)

Add flavoring and color while pulling.

Pull out in a long rope and cut with scissors in two inch pieces or desired size.

Wrap each piece in wax paper.

This may be made in any flavor, adding color to correspond to flavor.
